BEAR WITNESS BRANDING

Purpose: With a team of designers, rebrand a fictitious craft beer brewery based here in Sacramento. We developed the name Bear Witness for our brewery and played off the theme of the court system throughout our brand.

The Team: Alli Gerriets, Ryan O’Connor, Kelley Beall, and Tammy Bircher

Approach: We chose the words sophisticated, defiant, high quality, genuine, and bold to encompass the personality the brand should possess. We created a logo based on the “all seeing eye” to represent the court system with the tagline “I solemnly swear.” The typeface Neutra was implemented for a clean logotype. We stuck to a black and white brand with bright saturated accent colors. We each created a beer label with names that played off the court system terminology. We made coasters, a menu, a taphandle, a tasting tray, a wooden beer tote, name tags and apron, a growler, packaging, and a business system. We also made an interior environment, koozies, shirts, bags, advertising signage, truck decals, website, and app mock up.
