BECCA WEBSITE

Purpose: To design a website that visually portrays a poem. I chose to do the poem Becca by Kerrin Mccadden. The poem describes the experiences of a girl getting her first tattoo.

Approach: I was inspired by the line “the vellum of her back” and began to play with the idea of relating the skin as a beautiful piece of art. I used a traditional serif typeface since the poem mentions “Becca’s” favorite typefaces are serifs. I kept the color fairly simple and monochromatic for each page so the imagery could be the focus.
